New Beekeeper session

The group reviewed a handout on how to over-winter your bees. The session handout covered the material presented by Stewart Ledford, President of TN Valley Beekeepers Association at our last meeting. Several hive configurations were discussed as well as essential actions that need to occur to give your bees the best chance to over-winter well.

Monthly Meeting

The club president lead a discussion and exercise on creating an annual plan for your apiary. Meeting attendees meet in small groups to review various topics including when to purchase bees, woodenware requirements, monthly beekeeping activities and reviewed two different examples of annual plans.
