Plants for Pollinators

Chatooga County Extension's Program Assistant, Kendra Stallings gave an informative presentation on plants that are beneficial to pollinators. She suggested group plantings of plants with different bloom times to provide successive blooming and longer foraging for bees. She also spoke of planting to attract bees away from farmed crops that may have pesticides that would be harmful to pollinators. She handed out helpful literature that illustrates which plants bloom when so that one can plan strategically.
